ECPs range of Vapor corrosion inhibitors (VCIs)
from SAFEPACK work by emitting a protective vapour which condenses
on all metal surfaces. The resulting microscopic ionic layer has
excellent anticorrosive properties, preventing ferrous, non-ferrous
and combination of ferrous & non-ferrous metals(multi-metals
from corroding. The coverage is complete - not only those in direct
contact with the VCI product, but also areas in recesses, contained
voids or airspaces above the product, will be protected from corrosion.
The protective barrier self-replenishes through further condensation
of the vapour, even for packaging thats repeatedly opened.
The greatest advantage of VCI is that Air-tight packaging is not
required.
The process:
- VCI vaporizes.
- VCI vapour fills the atmosphere, including recessed areas
and cavities.
- VCI Vapor condenses on all metal surfaces.
- VCI ions dissolve in moisture film (water electrolyte).
- VCI Protective ions are attracted to metal surfaces.
- VCI ions form a thin, mono-molecular protective film at the
metal surface.
- VCI film barrier self-replenishes through further condensation
of the vapor.

VCI vapor corrosion inhibitors are used in every stage of the
production cycle. From the, start of the production of metal stock
to its actual use in the field. When properly applied, VCI additives,
metalworking fluids, and packaging will substantially cut time
and costs throughout the entire manufacturing process including
storage, shipment, field service or final presentation of the
finished product. VCIs eliminate many extra processing steps of
cleaning, degreasing, rust removal, pickling, sandblasting and

VCI emitters
VCI
EMITTERS come as a boon to users and manufacturers of electrical
and electronic items. They are product life enhancers, which are
compact, self-sticking devices and are very easy to install in
closed electrical and electronic panels. They are porous dome
containers loaded with concentrated hi-tech VCIs, which easily
vaporize through this porous body. They offer effective protection
to multimetal contact points against oxidation and corrosion,
by making them inert to the action of corroding agents such as
humidity, moisture, salts, hydrogen sulphide, sulphur dioxide,
ammonia or acid rain.

address the problem of corrosion. VCI Anti Corrosion Emitters
is an adhesive backed porous plastic dome containing. Hi-tech
Volatile Corrosion inhibiting chemicals. These chemicals have
a property of evaporating into surrounding enclosures. The released
vapors then deposit on contact points and metal surfaces forming
a protective mono-ionic layer. This layer thus offers effective
protection to the contact points against oxidation & corrosion
by making them inert to the action of corroding agents such as
humidity, moisture, salt etc. Emitters work well under any adverse
conditions including contaminants in air such as hydrogen sulphide,
sulphur dioxide, ammonia or acid rain.

METHOD OF USAGE :
- Insert the VCI Powder pouch inside the package either manually
or with an automatic dispenser.
- It can also be used by hanging it near the part/surface to

- For Protection of inner surface, powder can be blown inside
the I.D. of the metal pipes/tube.
- Ideally install before the process of corrosion / oxidation
starts.
- Seal package well, though not necessarily air tight for optimum
benefit.

SAFEPACK VCI plastic film SP- MPE is a 50 micron /100
micron thick polythylene film with impregnated with high-tech
volatile corrosion inhibitors(VCIs). It is designed to protect

during storage and transit when packed in boxes, cartons, containers

VCI Paper
Safepack VCI papers are specially matured kraft -papers impregnated
with hi-tech, eco-friendly VCIs (Volatile / Vapor Phase Corrosion
Inhibitors). This provides an extremely dry method of protection.
It enables effective and long term protection of metals in most
probable adverse conditions even for hard- to- reach metal surfaces.

VCI STRETCH FILM SP-MSW is a PE film which contains a combination
of VCI-inhibitors for the protection of ferrous & non-ferrous
(multi-metals) iron, steel, copper, brass, bronze etc. It protects
metals through direct contact and vapor action during storage
and transit. The VCI vaporizes and then settles on the metal surface,
protecting also hard to reach areas such as drill holes, crevices
etc.

SAFEPACK
VCI "SP-RST-100" is a specially developed multipurpose
solution having hitech VCI chemicals (volatile corrosion inhibitors)
dispersed in an non oil liquid.It provides protection to multi-metals
(i.e. ferrous and non-ferrous metals). It is the most viable option
where VCI paper, VCI Powder, VCI Tablets cannot be used.
